MHI for Pregnant Women: access to medical services and benefits for the purchase of medicines

The MHI (medical health insurance) policy is free and gives women access to medical services during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as benefits for the purchase of medicines.

For example, a pregnant woman can buy folic acid and iron medications at a pharmacy at a 50% discount.

To obtain a MHI policy, you should:
- fill out an application with your family doctor or gynecologist at the FMC/FPG at your place of residence;
- provide a copy of your passport.
MHI policy for pregnant women is issued by a family doctor or gynecologist at the place of residence. The MHI policy is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
